Midwifery services

The practice holds weekly clinics run by the community midwife, Josephine Holleran. (01904 726720)

If you think you may be pregnant please make an appointment with your usual doctor as soon as possible. Once the pregnancy has been confirmed you will invited to a booking clinic with the midwife. The clinics are held at the following times:-

Elvington Surgery
Booking Clinic	Wednesday 09:00 – 12:00 (alternate weeks)
Review Clinic	Tuesday 09:00 – 12:00 (weekly)

Following delivery most women will be contacted by a GP within 48hrs of discharge from hospital and all women will be contacted by the midwife. Please let the surgery know that you have been discharged from hospital to ensure that your maternity discharge details have been received.

Approximately 6-8 weeks after delivery you will need a postnatal examination. This may also be a suitable time to discuss future contraception needs. Please make an appointment with a doctor.
