Our Appointments
Home visits are reserved for patients who are house-bound or have serious illness and are too poorly to attend the surgery. It is usually preferable for doctors to see patients at the Practice, as we have diagnostic and specialist equipment on site, however we will visit if there is a clinical need. All requests for home visits will be assessed by a doctor, who will then take or advise the appropriate action.
Doctors can see several patients in the surgery during the time it takes to do one home visit. While we understand patients may prefer to be seen at home, we have to judge each case according to the clinical need for a visit. This allows us to see as many patients as possible each day.
If you do request a home visit please do so before 10:30am to allow time for us to schedule a visit. Please be ready to give the receptionist the name, address, telephone number and age of the patient, and brief details of what is wrong.
