Book an Appointment
There are three ways to book an appointment at the Practice; online, by phone or in person at any of our three sites. The quickest and easiest ways to book are online or using our automated phone booking system. Both of these can be used 24 hours a day, and will give you access to the same appointments that our receptionists have access to. If you would like to use the on-line facility then you will need to register for the service.
Every day we have a duty doctor who has appointments available for urgent needs, and will speak to patients over the phone to help determine what type of care they need. Please call the Practice and speak to a receptionist who will add you to the Duty Doctor’s list.
If you are experiencing vomiting or diarrhoea please call 111 or ask to speak with a doctor at the surgery over the phone. Many illnesses with these symptoms are highly contagious and you may risk affecting others by coming to the surgery.
For non-urgent appointments please call after 11am, as before this time our phones are very busy and you may have a longer wait for your call to be answered.
Please note that if you speak with a receptionist to book an appointment they may need to ask you some questions. These questions are needed to ensure you see the right person at the right time. Please do not get offended if you are asked questions that seem personal, and everything you tell us will be kept confidential.
On Monday 9 July 2018 we are launching our improved appointment system to ensure that all patients have access to the right health care professional at the right time, first time.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice, the required disclosure is shown here.
Dr David Lightwing, who has worked in the practice for 19 years, has now retired and we wish him well in the future. We are also pleased to announce that Dr Tim Longmore has now taken on the role of Senior Partner for the practice.
In addition to overseeing prescription management systems, Andy will be providing appointments for medication reviews and will also be available to answer any medicines related queries by telephone.
